Taco Bell

Can you handle the heat?

Taco Bell announced on Twitter Wednesday that it will introduce Diablo, its “hottest sauce packet ever,” on May 5 for Cinco de Mayo (otherwise known as the day we get to stuff our faces with guacamole and margaritas).

Diablo, which translates to “devil” in Spanish, is made with a variety of peppers, including aji panca, chipotle and chili, Adweek reports. The sauce will only be available for a limited time.

“We’re all familiar with Verde, Mild, Hot and Fire, but if there’s one thing we keep hearing from our fans, it’s that they want more heat,” Taco Bell spokeswoman Ashley Sioson said. “Diablo will deliver just that—[it] packs a punch with a ‘we don’t give a shishito’ attitude.”

Diablo’s packets will feature 12 brand new “wisdom” labels — that’s what those inspiring sayings on Taco Bell’s sauces are called — like “break the rules” and “turn up the heat.”

The new Biscuit Taco (which is exactly what it sounds like) topped with this ultra-hot sauce sounds like the ideal breakfast to kick off our favorite holiday.
