If you thought string cheese was just for snacking, you were so, so mistaken.
While it does seem nearly perfect as is, we’re here today to discuss what it was always destined to become: stuffed inside of a pizza crust. Because if you’re gonna make pizza at home, you better make it worth it.
We got the idea for this hack after finding out that this is actually how one of the biggest pizza chains makes their stuffed crusted pizza — brilliant! Pro tip: You can buy ready-made pizza dough at the supermarket, or if you have a favorite pizzeria in your neighborhood, they’ll likely sell you a ball of dough.

Stuffed Crust Pizza Recipe
Preheat the oven to 450°. Take 1 lb. pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) and roll it out into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a sheet pan or cast iron skillet dusted with cornmeal (optional, but helps prevent sticking). Line the edges of the dough with 7 sticks of mozzarella string cheese. Fold the dough over the cheese on all sides and press to seal. Add your favorite sauce and toppings in the middle and bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 15 minutes.
