Starbucks Just Upgraded the Pumpkin Spice Latte in a Major Way
Happy birthday Pumpkin Spice Latte!
To commemorate the 13th anniversary of everyone’s favorite fall drink, Starbucks is giving the PSL a bit of a makeover. Now through October 9, customers will receive the beverage with pumpkin spice whipped cream. Yes, that’s right, you can add pumpkin spice to your pumpkin spice.
The sweet topping comes served on the original hot pumpkin spice latte — which was invented by Peter Dukes in 2003 — and the blended version. But those of us who prefer our pumpkin spice in small doses can simply ask to add the flavored whipped cream to any Starbucks drink for free.
The coffee chain may have been late to the pumpkin spice party this year, debuting their signature spin on the latte a whole three days later than its competitors but they’ve stepped up their game with this orange-tinted creation.

Similar to the drink’s recipe, which Starbucks revamped last year, the whipped cream is made with real pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, clove and nutmeg.
Bonus: customers will also receive a festive “HBD PSL” pin so you can show your pumpkin spice fever with pride.
