After losing 14 lbs. in just 14 days, Sam Smith is showing off an even slimmer frame.

About two weeks after posting a message on Instagram praising nutritional therapist and Eat. Nourish. Glow. author Amelia Freer for his transformation, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter stepped out at the NRJ Music Tour in Lille, France, looking noticeably thinner in a slim-fitted trench and collared shirt.

Smith first voiced his commitment to his new healthy outlook on Instagram on March 17: “Three weeks ago I met a woman who has completely changed my life,” Smith wrote. “Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy. It’s not even about weight loss it’s about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out @ameliafreer #eatnourishglow”

The British eating expert’s first book focuses on 10 principles of healthy eating. “These are the 10 most important areas that I have found have helped both me and all of my clients over the last 10 years,” Freer tells PEOPLE. “They are practical approaches to the most common obstacles people face when trying to switch to healthier habits around food. I cover things like how to get your kitchen prepared for success, to keeping your goals simple and to make the changes gradually, and encourage mindfulness around food choices and behavior.”

Freer, who is a former personal assistant to Prince Charles, explains that her method is “not a weight-loss program” but a “simple food philosophy.”

“I really don’t like to use the word diet as I don’t believe any diet works,” she says. “I always encourage my clients to not think they are on a diet and instead think about making consistent, not perfect, long-term changes … Ultimately it has to be about getting clients to stop the junk foods and start eating food in its most natural form again.”
