The Pioneer Woman Magazine, under the ownership of Hearst Magazines and Scripps Networks Interactive, will release its first issue in Walmart stores on June 6th—and we’ve got an exclusive first look at the debut cover. Like her wildly popular blog, the publication will feature a combination of food, home and decor ideas, parenting advice, and a glimpse into life on her Oklahoma ranch. Pioneer Woman Magazine The first issue promises easy family recipes, fashion tips (a cowgirl boots buyer’s guide!), and a personal essay from Drummond on the death of her family dog, Charlie, who fans were familiar with through social media and frequent appearances on her Food Network show. This is just the latest of a vast portfolio of business ventures from the culinary expert, who recently opened The Mercantile, a restaurant, coffee shop and retail store in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Since opening its doors, the space has attracted visitors from across the country to the small town with a population of only 3,000. Drummond also has a popular homeware collection and a multitude of cookbooks and children’s books.
