Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are having a honeymoon full of sand, sunshine and really good food.
The couple—who started their romantic get away in Tulum, Mexico—enjoyed a candlelight dinner at Pomar Orgânico while in their honeymoon’s second destination Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
“When the two came, they were very grateful and said they were very happy to come here and eat the food,” the Brazilian restaurant’s chef Andrea Henrique tells PEOPLE.
“Nikki loved the zucchini carpaccio with pesto sauce,” adds Henrique noting the actress mentioned she only eats raw food. “They tasted seven dishes–all salads. She loved the raw cucumber salad.”
And the chef says the pair—who were married in Malibu, California, on April 26—were very affectionate while they enjoyed the dinner complimented by a bottle of red wine.
“They were cuddling the whole time, and laughing a lot,” she says. “I had the impression that they were very happy.”
To finish the night off, Henrique prepared a panna cotta dessert with coconut and red fruit dressing.
“It really was a honeymoon,” she says. “They were literally like two happy teenagers.”
