1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled

1 Tbsp. granulated sugar

1/4 cup seedless raspberry jam

1/4 cup blueberry jam

2 Tbsp. warm water, or more as needed

1 quart premium vanilla ice cream, softened slightly

Red, white and blue sprinkles

4 maraschino cherries

1. Place 4 tall glasses in freezer. While glasses chill, beat cream and sugar with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, about 3 minutes. set aside.

2. Place raspberry and blueberry jams in separate medium bowls; stir 1 tablespoon warm water (or more if needed) into each bowl to thin jam and make a sauce. Set aside.

3. Remove glasses from freezer. Add 1 tablespoon of raspberry sauce to each glass; top each with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. Dollop with whipped cream. Add 1 tablespoon of blueberry sauce to each sundae; top with another scoop of vanilla ice cream and a generous dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle remaining raspberry sauce and blueberry sauce evenly over sundaes. Sprinkle generously with red, white and blue candy sprinkles. Add a cherry on top of each, and serve immediately.

Quick tip! Make whipped cream faster: Add cream and sugar to a 1-qt. glass jar, screw on the lid, and shake vigorously until soft peaks form, says Morgenstern, who offers nationwide delivery of his popular ice cream flavors.
