While most Sundays promise weeklong feelings of impending dread, resentment and introspection, this weekend will likely break that mold with MTV’s Video Music Awards.

So, how does one celebrate such a glorious, and soon-to-be legendary event that will most likely be immortalized in GIF form? With cake, of course.

Lindsay Nathanson of dessert destination Sprinkles for Breakfast created custom cakes exclusively for PEOPLE, inspired by the VMA Video of the Year nominees. Nathanson, who baked a slew of Taylor Swift-themed cakes in July, took on the deliciously important task of transforming a key lyric from each music video nominee into cake-form. Yep, the baker took standout lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (pictured above), Beyoncé’s “7/11,” Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” and Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

“Music is such a wonderful source of inspiration,” Nathanson tells PEOPLE. “I wanted to make sure the cakes captured each song’s individual personality.”

And she did just that with each of her sugary confections — just peek at her “Uptown Funk”-inspired cake, which served as an ode to peanut butter brand, Skippy’s with its lyrics. Genius.

Scroll through to see the rest of the cakes, matched with the lyrics that inspired each design.

Beyoncé — “7/11”
“Man it feel like rollin’ dice, man it feel like rollin’ dice
Seven eleven, seven eleven, seven twice, man seven twice”
