While moving into her new home in June, librarian and mother-of-two Courtney Bonnet wasn’t sure what to do with a dark, empty storage space under the stairs, until it occurred to her: Why not reimagine Harry Potter‘s cupboard bedroom from 4 Privet Drive?

“I first noticed it when we came to an open house last year, but I wasn’t crazy about the rest of the house,” Bonnet, a huge fan of the series, told BuzzFeed of first seeing the space. “Our realtor brought us back again because my husband loved the house. He convinced me but only after agreeing I could turn the space into a Harry Potter–themed room.”

To revamp the room, which took eight days, Bonnet used pages from the first book as wallpaper, and stuffed the space with cute HP-themed paraphernalia.

“I just love Harry Potter and books and reading,” she said. “I am pretty crafty and handy around the house so I figured why not? What kid wouldn’t want their own secret room?”

Predictably, her two sons are already obsessed.

“They play hide-and-seek and their friends love to check it out when they come over,” she said. “I want my kids to enjoy books and reading and see what an impact books can have on a person’s life. This series really changed my life.”
