Mindy Kaling not only makes us laugh on a regular basis—but she also makes a darn good burger.

The Mindy Project star has teamed up with Umami Burger to create The Mindy Burger to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

The burger, which will be available for $13 at Umami restaurants starting Sept. 1, is a beef patty topped with pickled jalapeños, fried onion strings, white cheddar cheese, and house-made sriracha aioli. (For the full burger recipe, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.)

“I love Umami and I was so honored to be able to create my own burger,” Kaling said. “Spicy and cheesy, it reflects my own personality.

The collaboration—which is timed to the launch of The Mindy Project season four streaming on Hulu Sept. 15 and Kaling’s new book Why Not Me?—is part of Umami’s Artist Series, which enlists celebrities to become burger inventors and then donates $1 for each burger sold to the stars’ charity of choice.

Past curators include former Top Chef champ Michael Voltaggio’s deep-fried Monte Cristo burger and Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Andy Samberg, who created ‘The Samberger.’

Kaling has made her love of fast food very clear by treating her cast and crew to McDonald’s in the past and even celebrating her birthday with a McDonald’s-themed party.

“Mindy Kaling is a brilliant comedic talent, simultaneously fearless, sharp and approachable,” says Paul Clayton, CEO of Umami Burger. “Her culinary talents have a similar sensibility. The Mindy Burger will be popular with food lovers everywhere.”
