Stop Everything: McDonald's Is Rolling Out All-Day Breakfast in October

Indulging in breakfast for dinner (or “brinner”) isn’t a new trend, but it’s one that most fast food chains have yet to jump on — until now.

Beginning in October, McDonald’s will begin serving an all-day breakfast menu at their restaurant locations nationwide. (No secret menu ordering needed!)

Up until this announcement, customers could only purchase signature breakfast items like the Egg McMuffin, breakfast burrito, and McGriddles breakfast sandwich before 10:30 a.m. during the week and 11 a.m. on the weekends.

The fast food chain began testing the all-day breakfast concept in Nashville and San Diego locations in March. “Serving all-day breakfast is likely the number one request we hear from McDonald’s customers,” McDonald’s said in a statement. “We’re testing it out in a few markets to learn more about this possibility. We know your mouth is watering, but there’s no news on this yet.”

Ever since Taco Bell debuted a breakfast menu last year, McDonald’s has reportedly been feeling the pressure to keep up. And since Taco Bell’s breakfast stops at 11 a.m., day-long offerings would be a step to set Mickey D’s apart from the competition. Plus, it would satisfy the masses with late-night breakfast burritos.
