Think you’ve got a bad Starbucks habit? Meet the guy who, to date, has visited 11,733 locations of the mega coffee chain.

According to his website, Starbucks Everywhere, Winter (yep, that’s his name) has, since 1997, “been on a personal mission to drink coffee from every (company-operated) Starbucks in the world.” (If you’ve got four minutes to burn, you can watch what happens when he hits store number 10,000 here.)

Despite his dedication to the drink, he’s not the type to kick back on his couch with a cup of joe. “I have only once made coffee at home — I enjoy the social aspect of actually visiting a coffeehouse,” he says.

He’s spent about $100,000 attempting to reach his goal, and his travels have taken him as far as Asia and the Middle East. One way he’s managed to fund it? Getting rid of his permanent residence. “For the last three years I have lived out of my car, and the $10,000 to $15,000 in rent savings has allowed me more discretionary income to both save, fund my travels, and donate to charity,” he tells PEOPLE.

But the real question is, besides the social aspects, what motivated him to embark on this kind of challenge? “My original motivation was simply to accomplish something singularly unique. However, since that time, I have discovered many joys in the traveling, the photography, and the puzzle-like challenge of my mission,” he writes on his web site.

And since ABC News reports that three new Starbucks locations open daily, if he stays his caffeinated course, Winter will be on the road for the foreseeable future.
