In the upcoming season finale of TLC’s The Little Couple, Bill Klein surprises Dr. Jen Arnold with a vow renewal ceremony and reception in Galveston, Texas, filled with family and friends — and food! We couldn’t resist getting the advance scoop on the cake and the couple’s signature cocktail, which had complementary under-the-sea themes.

Nadine Moon of Who Made the Cake in Houston shared details on the three-tier, underwater-themed confection she made for Klein and Arnold.

“I knew they were hosting the surprise vow renewal ceremony in Galveston, so I immediately thought of shells and a resort/destination theme, which worked out perfectly,” she tells PEOPLE. “The marbleized blue was a great fit because it is Jen’s favorite color.”

The cake, which featured alternating tiers of white cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate-chocolate chip cake with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate fudge buttercream, was covered in white chocolate fondant and adorned with edible shells, coral and more.

“Jen is a big fan of starfish, so I wanted to be sure those were prominent on the cake,” Moon says. She and her team molded the shells and starfish from chocolate fondant and hand-painted them with edible coloring for a realistic look. The coral pieces they made from white chocolate hand-painted in silver.

Hotel Galvez

Continuing with the starfish theme, the reception, hosted at Hotel Galvez & Spa, featured the Galvez Starfish, a rum-based cocktail with a beautiful starfruit garnish. We’ll be making them to cheers the happy couple while we watch the season finale on Tuesday, June 17 at 10/9c on TLC.

Galvez Starfish

Makes 6 servings

2–3 fresh starfruit, deveined, plus more for garnish

½ cup orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier

½ cup white rum

3 cups ice cubes

1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

1. Juice starfruit in a juicer or blender. Combine starfruit juice, orange liqueur, and rum in a pitcher and stir. (If making individual cocktails, use a cocktail shaker.)

2. Pour over ice into rocks glasses and top each cocktail with orange juice. Garnish with additional starfruit.
