Do you like Jell-O shots?

Do you need an unhealthy amount of them in an impossibly short amount of time?

The Jevo has you covered. The device, from Food and Beverage Innovations, uses Keurig-like pods to create alcoholic shots in minutes.

“We were sitting here looking at technology like Keurig and Soda Stream, where you choose the flavor pod and the machine does the work, but there was nothing around the archaic, time-consuming and inconsistent process of making gelatin,” Food and Beverage Innovations head Jeff Jetton told the Portland Business Journal.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the company has raised over $4 million in funding for the device, which it launched last week at the Nightclub and Bar Show in Las Vegas.

Jetton notes that the Jevo doesn’t necessarily need to be a primarily alcoholic device: Food and Beverage Innovations has run a pilot project in which the Jevo was used at a renal-care center to deliver Jell-O shots laced with additional protein to patients.

The Jevo: It can help and it can hurt.
