Kate Hudson’s Kale Burger Sliders

1 tsp. table salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. dried parsley flakes
¼ tsp. paprika
⅛ tsp. celery seeds
2 lbs. 80/20 lean ground beef
1 cup packed kale or spinach leaves, finely chopped
½ cup dry breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce or liquid aminos
Canola or vegetable oil to oil grates
12 slider buns, split

1. Preheat grill or grill pan to high (450° to 500°). Combine salt, black pepper, onion powder, parsley flakes, paprika and celery seeds in a small bowl.

2. Combine ground beef, kale, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce or liquid aminos in a large bowl. Use your hands to mix until just incorporated (don’t overmix). Form 12 patties, about 3 inches wide and ¾ inch thick; sprinkle evenly with spice mixture. Place patties on oiled grill grates. Cook 4 minutes; flip and cook to desired degree of doneness, another 4 to 6 minutes for medium. Transfer burgers to a platter; cover with aluminum foil to keep warm.

3. Place buns, cut side down, on grill, and toast until grill marks appear, about 1 minute. Layer buns with burger patties and toppings of your choice.
