Try this festive fall cocktail without splurging on calories

Take a break, pumpkin — it’s time for another seasonal flavor to get in the spotlight.

Pumpkin spice gets all the attention, but apple cinnamon is equally amazing. So when a party pops up sometime between now and December, make sure you have a pitcher of this Apple Pie Sangria ready to go. It’s sweet (but not too sweet), bubbly, and perfectly spiced.

Bonus: Only 137 calories per cup! That beats the pants off those too-sugary appletinis.

Apple Pie Sangria
Serves: 10

3 cups chopped Granny Smith apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
4 cinnamon sticks
2 cups light apple juice drink
1 (750-ml.) bottle dry sparkling white wine
2 cups club soda, chilled
8 oz. sour apple pucker
1. Place apples in a large bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon, and toss to coat.
2. Transfer to a large pitcher or serving bowl (at least 2-quart capacity).
3. Add remaining ingredients, and gently stir.
4. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
