Well, good news! I’ve got a recipe for a crazy-good smoothie, inspired by the flavors of several classic holiday pies. Cherries, apples, and pumpkin are serious superfoods, loaded with fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins. Blend ‘em up with a protein-packed base, and you’ll be sipping pretty.

Hungry Girl’s Pumped-Up Apple-Cherry Smoothie

Serves: 1

1 cup chopped Fuji apple (about 1 apple)

½ cup canned pure pumpkin

⅓ cup frozen dark sweet cherries (no sugar added)

3 tbsp. vanilla protein powder with about 100 calories per serving

1 cup crushed ice (about 6 ice cubes)

no-calorie sweetener (optional)

1. Place all ingredients in a blender. Add ½ cup water, and blend at high speed until smooth, stopping and stirring if needed.

HG Tip: A full serving of protein powder is about 6 tbsp. A little goes a long way!
