Strawberries + Crumbled Reduced-Fat Feta Cheese
I love pairing cheese with fruit! Start with 10 large strawberries. Slice off about 1/3-inch off the top, exposing the hollow canal inside the berry (use a narrow spoon handle or straw to make it a little larger, if needed). Stuff 1/4 cup feta crumbles into the strawberries, and then stuff the berries into your mouth! The whole snack has only 125 calories and 4.5g fat.
Cole Slaw Mix + Seasoned Rice Vinegar
This is such a refreshing snack to keep in the fridge. Just toss 4 cups of bagged cole slaw mix with 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar, and refrigerate overnight to let the flavor soak in. Nice! Each cup has around 35 calories and no fat.
Tuna + Cucumber Slices
The key to this snack? StarKist Tuna Creations pouches of pre-seasoned tuna. My favorite flavor is the Sweet & Spicy. Just slice up 10 round cucumber slices, and top with the tuna. Crunch away for 110 calories and 2g fat. Who needs crackers?
Salsa + Hard-Boiled Egg Whites
I love snacking on hard-boiled egg whites for pure protein goodness. When you pop out the yolks, you’re left with perfect little wells to fill with flavor! One of my favorite toppers is salsa: Add a teaspoon of salsa to each egg-white half. Have six salsa-fied egg-white halves for 60 calories and less than 0.5g fat.

Turkey Slices + Light String Cheese
Here’s another quick and easy protein-packed pick! Take an ounce of sliced 97 – 98% fat-free turkey breast (2-4 slices), and wrap it around a stick of light string cheese. It’s totally satisfying when midday hunger hits, and only 85 calories and 3g fat. Wanna make this couple a trio? Dip it in some mustard.
Cantaloupe + Light Vanilla Ice Cream
Yes, ice cream can be on your lightened-up diet. Cut a medium cantaloupe in half, scoop out the seeds, and spoon a 1/2-cup scoop of light vanilla ice cream into the center. The vanilla goes great with the melon, and you’ll be a lot more full than if you just had the ice cream. This massive snack has just 200 calories and 3.5g fat.
‘Til next time… Chew the right thing!
