This Food Hack Gives 'Grilled Cheese' a Whole New Meaning

There are only so many more days left to grill before the weather turns, so put this on the top of your bucket list.

You know that baked brie wrapped in puff pastry that everyone serves during the holidays? This is the summer version of that, but it’s so much easier (and, to be honest, better).

The key is getting the heat high enough so that you char the rind of the cheese without it totally melting. You want it to be gooey on the inside, but not fall apart through the grates and create an insane mess. Brie is the perfect cheese for this because the rind is sturdy and it melts super quick.

Watch the video above to see how it’s done, then follow the recipe below to make it at home. And if you’re hungry for more food hacks, we’ve got you covered.

Grilled Brie Recipe

1 wheel brie cheese
1 tbsp. butter, melted
Jam and sliced baguette, for serving

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Brush both sides of the brie with butter and grill until charred, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to serving platter along with your favorite jam and bread.
