There’s always something yummy — and healthy — cooking in the Brady household!

Gisele Bündchen, the retired supermodel, who shares children Benjamin and Vivian with Tom Brady and is stepmom to the NFL quarterback’s son, Jack, makes sure that her family is well fed with fresh organic meals straight from their garden.

“We use the food from our garden daily,” Gisele, who will appear on Wednesday’s upcoming episode of National Geographic’s Years of Living Dangerously, tells PEOPLE. “Winter in New England is very cold, so we can’t grow the same amount of food year around. During the growing season, we love our salads made from the spinach, kale, arugula, tomatoes cucumbers, zucchinis, squash and the other delicious things from our garden.”

With three little ones running around, Bündchen is a pro when it comes to providing kid-friendly snacks that just happen to be good for you!

“In our house, we also eat a lot of snacks,” the supermodel says. “One of our favorite recipes is almonds with herbs. You take raw almonds and soak them over night and then in the morning the skin is soft and easy to peel. We then get the rosemary and the garlic from the garden and cut it into small pieces mix with the almonds. Then we add some sea salt and olive oil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 to 30 minutes. Everybody loves it.”

Bündchen’s episode of Years of Living Dangerously airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on National Geographic.
