Some of my favorite ways to workout involve combining moves to create an exercise that does more than just one thing for your body. In that spirit, I developed the dog walking lunges.
This one move will not only keep your dog healthy and relieved but will also serve to keep you warm on chilly days—all while creating beautiful legs as a byproduct. Just make sure your dog isn’t tugging you all over the place first!
1. Every time you perform the lunge your torso should be upright, core engaged and your rear knee bent just above the ground.
2. Each time as you stand, drive through your front heel.
3. Perform 10-50 lunges at a time depending on your level, walk a short bit and repeat for a total of 4-8 times.
4. Try this every time you walk your dog and you will get stronger and better each time.
