Sorry, but Debra Messing doesn’t have time to exercise right now.
The busy actress, who stars on the hit series The Mysteries of Laura, actually told Well+Good when it comes to working out she does “nothing,” joining the ranks of other beautiful women — like Salma Hayek — who don’t have time to hit the gym.
“I don’t work out. I’m embarrassed to say that, because healthy people work out,” Messing said. “Recently, I’ve been working 12-hour days, and on the weekends I want to climb into bed and sleep. Now that we’ve finished filming, I’m excited to get back to doing yoga and Pilates. My 11-year-old son also keeps me active. We live across the street from a park, so I stand for hours and watch him play baseball, and we take the dogs for walks.”
When it comes to her diet, there is one thing the star doesn’t go without. “I start every day with a huge glass of green juice with kale, spinach, ginger, lemon and celery. I found that it helps me with energy at work, and my skin. I’m not a huge veggie eater, but I don’t feel so guilty if I’ve had my green juice,” she said. Messing, who lost 20 lbs. in 2014, also focuses on her overall diet. “I try to eat really clean,” she said. “Why my diet gets off, I really feel off balance, and I’ll get edgier.”
