Nothing wrong with a little friendly family rivalry.

When Dr. Mehmet Oz was nominated in the same category as his daughter Daphne Oz at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday—he hosts The Dr. Oz Show and she cohosts The Chewthe two decided to put some stakes into the competition. “The loser has to cook the winner dinner,” Daphne told PEOPLE on the red carpet before the ceremony.

“There is some discrepancy in whose meal is going to be better,” she added, saying that her father “never had to learn” to cook because her mom, Lisa, is a pro behind the stove. “Either way she loses,” Dr. Oz said.

Ultimately, The Dr. Oz Show took home the award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show, also beating out Steve Harvey, Larry King Now, and The Kitchen. Now, of course, Daphne has to pay up. “I demand a recount,” she joked after the show. “He just has to rub it in.”

As for what she’ll make for the big meal, Daphne has some thoughts in mind. “[His] favorite indulgence food is this German chocolate cake we make every year for his birthday,” she said. “But as far as savory, it’s ribs, usually. I feel like ribs are in his future.”

Ultimately, Daphne sees the situation as a win-win: “I think this is the best possible way it would have worked out because we will enjoy a meal that is delicious, and it stays in the family.”
