Christina Tosi to Replace Joe Bastianich on MasterChef and MasterChef Junior

Have your whisks at the ready: MasterChef and MasterChef Junior might be in for more dessert challenges.

Well-known pastry chef Christina Tosi is joining Gordon Ramsay and Graham Elliot on both of the cooking shows’ judging panels. She replaces panelist Joe Bastianich, whom already announced his departure from the franchise.

Tosi is the co-owner and founder of N.Y.C.’s Momofuku Milk Bar and creator of out-of-this world delicacies such as compost cookies, and cornflake-chocolate-chip-peppermint treats. She also partnered with supermodel Karlie Kloss on their wheat and dairy-free Karlie’s Kookies.

“MasterChef has been one of my favorite shows since it began, and like so many others, I fell in love with MasterChef Junior,” Tosi said in a press release. “I’m incredibly humbled by the opportunity and excited to pay forward all that I owe to learning what you’re made of in the home kitchen, and putting your neck on the line to show what you’ve got to the rest of the world!”

Tosi will first appear on the sixth season of MasterChef, which airs this summer, and on the fourth season of the franchise’s younger version, which will begin production this spring.
