Chrissy Teigen has a lot of thoughts about dieting.

On Friday morning, the supermodel asked her followers what they wanted the theme of her next cookbook to be. One of the options was “lighter (not diet)”, so people asked her why she didn’t want to do a “diet” book. Teigen tweeted that she preferred the terms “clean eating” and “eating light,” as dieting connotes deprivation.

“And the hearty, heavy, decadent things are because we deserve to enjoy life,” she wrote, adding, “I love the idea of delicious, fulfilling flavor-packed proteins and good carbs with color and zest and love.”

Some people, however, took issue with her use of the phrase “clean eating,” accusing her of being un-scientific. But for Teigen, clean eating is very lax … and means avoiding Velveeta and food items that have “1000 ingredients.” In fact, under her definition, potato chips can be considered clean, and we are so relieved.

We are also very relieved to read that Teigen still eats Velveeta sometimes.

Teigen has always been open about her general aversion to dieting, which means she has to work a little harder to maintain her super model body.

“I want to drink champagne and have hearty dinners, so I would rather work out for an hour and be able to do what I want,” she told Women’s Health in 2015. “I’ve always had to watch myself. My family is not naturally thin, and we put on weight quickly.”

We just hope that Teigen is eating allll the pasta in Italy right now.
