The nightmare is finally over.

Chick-Fil-A fans suffered an indescribable loss in July when the chain replaced its beloved barbecue sauce with a new recipe known as the Smokehouse BBQ Sauce. Diehards of the chain quickly took to social media during this scary, confusing time, begging the company to abandon the bolder flavor profile and #BringBackTheBBQ.

“I just don’t know if I want to bring kids into a world that will never let them taste the original chick fil a BBQ sauce,” tweeted one disgruntled customer.

“The fact that chik fil a changed their BBQ sauce to smoked BBQ is unbearable,” added another.

Luckily, these cries for help did not go unheard. “After thoughtfully reviewing feedback from both customers and local restaurant owners, Chick-fil-A decided to bring the original BBQ Sauce back to the menu to better serve the needs and tastes of guests,” a representative tells PEOPLE. Some of the 5,000 customers who expressed their distaste will even receive a free bottle of the original sauce for their troubles.

In a new video announcing the return of the sauce, employees come face-to-face with the passionate complaints. Everyone from the company’s social media team to the restaurant workers read the harsh words aloud.

Once again, fans rushed to social media to digest the long-awaited news.

The original BBQ sauce will make its comeback on November 7 — and the Smokehouse BBQ Sauce will be removed from the menu. Congrats are certainly in order.
