All the Celebs Who Love Ina Garten As Much As You Do
The actress has recently taken to social media to show off her cooking skills inspired by Garten. "If you want to make your family happy over and over again this is one recipe that if you get it down, you can do anything with it," Garner said before demonstrating one of the Food Network star's bread recipes. "And it’s by Ina. Love you, Ina!”
The SNL alum loves Ina so much, she put her in an episode of 30 Rock—and the two have become great pals ever since. "I just adore her," Garten told PEOPLE of her friendship with the comedian. "She’s unbelievably smart and she’s absolutely the funniest person I’ve ever met."
Duff recently told PEOPLE that her number one entertaining tip is one she learned from a Barefoot Contessa cookbook. “One thing that I’ve learned is to give people jobs so everyone is involved,” she said. “Not necessarily like a potluck — although I do that, too — if I’m serving dinner and making appetizers and stuff, when people are arriving I like to give them little jobs and I think everybody wants that. No one wants to sit there and feel useless so even if it’s like slicing up a cucumber or putting the crackers on a cheese plate or stirring the pot so it doesn’t burn, it’s actually really helpful and it brings everyone together.”
The Mom star told PEOPLE that she is "very wary" of dating a chef—but would make an exception for Ina.
In Taylor Swift's ode to Garten in TIME, she credits her model pal for turning her on to the Barefoot Contessa with one of her favorite fish recipes.
While the Parts Unknown host is not exactly known for heaping praise upon any Food Network stars, he generally makes an exception for Garten. “I’ll make a little fun of her now and then,” he recently admitted to Refinery 29, but “what she cooks on TV is legit and instructive. If you do as Ina does, chances are you are going to get a good product…I got real respect for her.”
