The Dining Guide to The Big Bang Theory's Sheldon Cooper
DINNER WITH FRIENDS
Trying to decide on what to eat is never a dilemma for theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper. Courtesy of his adorably incessant need for routine (and oftentimes the ever-present "Roommate Agreement"), we narrowed in on the group's most notable daily meals and a few quirky dishes that can't be missed.
Sheldon starts the week off with Thai takeout, dining on mee krob and chicken sate with extra peanut sauce. Just don't expect him to use chopsticks. Sheldon says in Thailand, they use forks, but don't put the fork in their mouth. It is simply a tool to put the food on a spoon which then goes into the mouth. Consider that your Cooper Fun Fact of the day.
Comfort food may not have a specific day on the BBT calendar, but it often helps the gang get over the mid-week hump. Even Sheldon is not immune to the goozy deliciousness of his mom's grilled cheese sandwiches, which she lovingly grills with a smiley face for her "Shelly."
You can always count on a pizza party at the Cooper-Hofstadter household on Thursdays. Ordering the gamut of pizza and salad, which grew to include girlfriends and wives, the gang was loyal to the fictional Franconi's pizza place before they went out of business, and switched over to Grazioni's.
The perfect takeout for nights in, the boys order Chinese food to accompany an evening of playing vintage video games. Sheldon wouldn't be Sheldon if he did not require his meal made-to-order. How does he like his chicken with broccoli? The chicken needs to be diced, not shredded, brown rice not white, hot mustard from the Korean grocery and low sodium soy sauce.
Save the sweet for last? He may not drink coffee, but Sheldon loves cocoa! Dr. Cooper drinks hot chocolate only in the months containing the letter "R" (January, February, March, April, September, October, November, December). Why? "What is life without whimsy?" he asks.
