Ali Fedotowsky‘s wedding planning is full speed ahead.
With their 7-month-old daughter Molly in tow, the former Bachelorette and her fiancé, radio host Kevin Manno, gave PEOPLE an inside look at all the tough decisions they’re making for their upcoming nuptials.
First up was the cake. The owner of Beverly’s Bakery, Jennifer Cella Williams, showed the couple four unique designs: a mod geode style, a textured buttercream look, a watercolor design with pastel colors, and a “bohemian” cake with fondant feathers and braiding.
“What’s really important for me, and we talked about this a lot, is the wedding feeling very bright, like very bright and light and airy,” says Fedotowsky, who’s been busy planning with the help of Natasha Coughlin and Laura Allin of Gather Events. “So I love the idea of a lot of white but the watercolor is really cool.”

As for flavors, Fedotowsky and Manno got to choose between a vanilla bean cake with raspberry fruit puree and a layer of cream cheese, a marble cake filled with mocha chip filling, a more traditional wedding white with strawberry mousse, and a chocolate flavor with a layer of vanilla bavarian cream and chocolate ganache.
Without even taking a bite, Manno had a feeling his wife-to-be would be leaning towards the white cake. “I’ll be honest with you these days after so much wedding planning I don’t even know what my opinions are anymore,” he said. “I just know what you would like.”

The pair—who met after Fedotowsky ended her engagement to her final pick from the Bachelorette, Roberto Martinez, in 2011—can also agree on what kind of flower won’t be at their big day. “We’re probably not going to do that symbolic Bachelorette red rose thing,” says Manno. Adds Fedotowsky: “No roses will be seen—well, maybe white roses.”
