Are those wedding bells we hear? Yes, 101 of them, to be exact.

Chef Art Smith is throwing a free wedding for 101 gay couples on February 21 — during the annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival — to celebrate the recent lift of Florida’s ban on same-sex marriage, the Miami Herald reports.

“I just felt like there was a need to give them a really lovely wedding,” Smith said.

The custom cake for the big event will be created by Ace of Cakes star Duff Goldman, creator of this the world’s largest cheesecake as well as the bright confections in Katy Perry’s “Birthday” music video.

So how will Smith — who married his partner in 2010 — pick these lucky couples to join the ceremony? Through social media, of course: The first 101 couples who tweet him with the hashtag #101GayWeddings will be eligible to be married by a to-be-named celebrity officiant. Couples who are selected will be invited to bring two family members.

The wedding will be in lieu of Smith’s annual Big Gay Ice Cream Social, which he’s hosted for the past two years to raise awareness about the push for equality.

“It’s important we show the utmost respect and encouragement to these young couples who want to be married,” Smith said. “And why not marry them in style?”
