The model, who also had a stint on The Young and the Restless, and his girlfriend were reportedly delivering a Thanksgiving meal to a friend at a West Hollywood Rite Aid when he approached two guys speeding in the parking lot, doing donuts and driving erratically. “They almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, ‘Please slow down or we’re gonna call the cops, just go home,’ ” his girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, told KCAL9 in Los Angeles. Rather than heed his warning, the two men allegedly drove into Sligh, 27, with their car, then got out of the vehicle and began to beat him up. “The guy walked up on him like, ‘I’m in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it’s going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away,’ ” Berhorst said. Sligh was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and required surgery on his broken arm. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the news station that they arrested two men in connection with the crime, after a witness followed them out of the parking lot and observed them crash nearby. On Saturday, Sligh demonstrated his sense of humor about the incident, sharing a Hollywood Reporter story about the crash on his Instagram page, where he also posted a shot of himself in a neck brace, flashing a peace sign. “Well, I guess I can finally say “I made the Hollywood Reporter!” lol. #thankful no matter what to be here!” he captioned the shot.
