Wisc. Man Accused of Dumping 8 Newborn Puppies in Garbage
Wisc. Man Allegedly Dumped 8 Newborn Puppies in Garbage Bag
A Wisconsin man has been arrested after allegedly throwing away eight newborn puppies in a sealed garbage bag inside a dumpster, PEOPLE confirms.
On Feb. 28, Marshfield police officers responded to a call reporting “the sound of kittens coming from a garbage can,” a police news release states. Upon arrival, officers found that the sounds were actually coming from eight puppies.
The puppies were in a plastic garbage bag and had been thrown out as trash. They were taken to Marshfield Area Pet Shelter.
When officers spoke to the resident, Robert Wild, he allegedly admitted to discarding the puppies.
Wild, 56, was arrested and taken into custody for mistreatment of animals and abandonment of animals.

It is unclear whether Wild has an attorney.
