Christina Grimmie’s friends and fans took to social media early Saturday morning to mourn the late singer, who was shot dead Friday night after her concert in Orlando. She was 22.

“It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord,” her rep confirmed to PEOPLE. The Voice alum made it to the final three on season six of NBC’s singing competition show in 2014 but first gained a loyal fan base on the internet when her cover video of Miley Cyrus‘ hit “Party in the U.S.A.” earned millions of views on YouTube.

In a statement on Twitter, The Voice called Grimmie a “beautiful soul with an amazing voice” and extended their condolences to the singer’s “friends, fans and family,” while season 10 winner Alisan Porter simply tweeted a broken heart emoji.

Coach Blake Shelton also weighed in on the news, saying he was “stunned and disgusted.”

Upon hearing the news, stars like Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly, Colton Haynes, Rowan Blanchard and more took to Twitter to express their shock and sadness.

“#RIPChristina,” Lovato wrote. “My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones..”
