The body of a female Georgia teen shot in an apparent double murder behind a Publix grocery store earlier this month was found naked and “possibly posed in a sexually explicit fashion” by her killer, according to an autopsy report released Thursday obtained by PEOPLE.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office says Natalie Henderson, 17, was shot at close range in “the right frontal head” and died from the gunshot wound. She and the other victim, her friend Carter Davis, also 17, were found about 6 a.m. Aug. 1 laying on their backs in a parking lot behind a Publix grocery store in Roswell, about 20 miles north of Atlanta.

Davis also had been shot in the head, police said. The autopsy report examining his death has not yet been released.

Two days after the victims were found, police arrested Jeffrey A. Hazelwood, 20, who allegedly followed the two into the parking lot in the predawn hours before killing and then robbing them, according to court documents cited by WSB.

Hazelwood is charged with two counts each of murder, aggravated assault and theft by taking, and one count each of identity fraud and possession of a firearm during the commission or attempt to commit certain felonies, according to jail records.

His attorney, Lawrence Zimmerman, says Hazelwood intends to plead not guilty, reports WSB. Hazelwood remains in jail after a judge denied bond. No preexisting personal connection between he and the victims has been revealed.

Along with the autopsy report, the medical examiner’s office released written comments from Roswell Police investigator Mary Beth Hauptle, who reported that police had found a “probable revolver” at the scene but no shell casings.

The bodies were located in the vacant parking space between Henderson’s and Davis’s parked vehicles. Henderson “was nude,” Hauptle wrote, “and had been possibly posed in a sexually explicit fashion with legs ‘spread eagle.’ She had a perforating gunshot wound to the head and lay in a pool of blood.”

Detectives also found a feather in her hair, and blood spatter on the soles of both of her feet, “possibly associated with blow-back blood” from Davis’s head wound, according to the report. She also had blood drops and smears on both arms and her torso.

The police report says the parents of both Henderson and Davis “tracked their whereabouts by querying the positioning devices on their cell phones.”

Police earlier said that Henderson and Davis, who were friends and were starting their senior years at two different high schools, met at the grocery store between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. A delivery driver discovered their bodies in the parking lot around 6 a.m.

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant told WSB that authorities later tracked the use of Hazelwood’s cell phone to both the crime scene and a convenience store where the suspect allegedly used Henderson’s debit or credit card.
