The man arrested in connection with the death of a mother-of-three whose dismembered remains were found in a Seattle recycling bin has a lengthy criminal history, the Seattle Times reports.

Ingrid Lyne, a 40-year-old nurse from Renton, disappeared on Friday night after going on a date to a Seattle Mariners game with a man she met online, according to friends who posted on social media.

John Robert Charlton, 37, is being held on homicide charges in connecituon with Lyne’s death, police say. Prosecutors are expected to release more details during his court appearance tomorrow.

The Seattle Times reports he was convicted for assault in King County in 1997 and a battery in Idaho in 2009.

Lyne was reported missing on Saturday, according to the Times. Police said Monday that human remains found in a recycling bin in a south Seattle residential neighborhood likely belong to her. Although the medical examiner’s office has yet to officially identify Lyne as the victim, Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole said at a Monday news conference that there is “no reason to believe that there’s any question of the victim’s identity.”

Police said that the body parts had been packaged and placed in the bin between late Friday and Saturday, the Associated Press reports. Only some of Lyne’s remains have been located and Seattle police and the FBI continue to search for the rest of her body, the Times reports.

Lyne’s friends took to Facebook over the weekend in an attempt to find Lyne. Several friends posted photos of Lyne and Charlton together.

“She was on a date Friday night at the Mariners game with a guy she had recently met named John Charlton,” one user wrote alongside a collage of photos. “No one has heard from Ingrid or John since Friday night.”

Police arrested Charlton on Monday and he is being held without bail in King County jail under investigation of homicide, online records show.

A Seattle police official tells PEOPLE that Charlton is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Friends of Lyne have started a GoFundMe page to help support Lyne’s three daughters.

Neighbor Edward Franceschina tells PEOPLE: “It’s completely crazy. Especially after they found out that she was in the recycle bin.”

Franceschina adds, “She was a very devoted mother to her three, beautiful girls and did whatever she had to do for them.”
