'Slender Man' Stabbing: 911 Call Describes How Victim Was Found

Two 12-year-olds have been charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to kill their friend in Wisconsin

Covered in blood, she had crawled out of the woods when a passerby found her struggling to breathe.

This was the scene described on a newly released 911 call that reveals how a cyclist found a 12-year-old girl on Sunday morning after she was allegedly stabbed by two of her friends.

"Help me, I've been stabbed," the girl said as the man bent down and pulled out his phone to call for help, according to the Los Angeles Times.

"She says she's having trouble breathing," the passerby tells the 911 dispatcher on the call. "She said she was stabbed multiple times she's laying on the grass She's awake she's breathing, she said she can take shallow breaths."

The girl, identified by the initials PL in court documents, was allegedly stabbed 19 times by her 12-year-old friends in a park in Waukesha, Wisconsin, after a slumber party.

Waiting for paramedics to arrive, the man who found the victim tried to calm her as she struggled to breathe, ABC News reports.

"Any minute somebody will help you," he reassured her as he asked, "Who did that to you? Or don't you want to talk?"

Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, the two 12-year-olds who allegedly tried to kill their friend, were charged as adults with attempted murder on Monday. They're being held on $500,000 bail each.

One of the girls told a detective they were trying to become "proxies" of Slender Man, a fictional character they learned about online.

According to court documents, the girls had been planning to kill their friend since December.

"To say it's every parent's worst nightmare is a cliché but it is," Geyser's lawyer, Anthony Cotton, told ABC News. He says the girl should not be tried as an adult and wants the case moved to juvenile court, where the harshest punishment is confinement until the age of 25. If tried as adults they could each face 65 years behind bars.

Geyser's family released a statement Monday. "We wish to express our deepest sympathies and extend our heartfelt prayers to the victim and her family," they said. "We have been overwhelmed with anguish."
