In February, the actor walked out of a press conference and wore a paper bag over his head at the premiere of Nymphomanic in Berlin, just a month after he said he was leaving public life. LaBeouf told Parade magazine in 2009 that he was “working to be a better person.” Shia LaBeouf Arrest Chronicled on Social Media “I have no answers to anything. None. Why am I an alcoholic? I haven’t a damn clue! What is life about? I don’t know,” he said about injuring his hand in a 2008 car crash that left his driver’s license suspended. (He refused a chemical test at the time.) “What I do know is, I screw up.” LaBeouf was charged June 27 with one count of criminal trespassing and two counts of disorderly conduct. He will reappear in court later in July. • Reporting by JULIE JORDAN Want more stories like this? Sign up for our newsletter and other special offers: sign me up Thank you for signing up!
