Report: Leif Garrett in Drug Bust
L.A. police nab the former teen idol at a downtown Metrolink station
Former teen idol Leif Garrett is in trouble again.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department arrested him at a downtown Metrolink station midday Monday for possession of a controlled substance, reports TMZ.com.
Garrett, 48, reportedly was taken into custody and jailed until his release Wednesday morning. His next court date is set for Feb. 24.
Garrett’s drug-related troubles date back to the ’90s. He entered a California treatment facility for violating his probation after a 2004 arrest.
Besides releasing 10 music albums in his heyday of the 1970s and ’80s, Garrett has appeared in numerous TV shows and some three-dozen films.
