Alabama authorities continue their search for an allegedly “armed and dangerous” man and woman accused of a crime spree including kidnapping a woman during a home invasion Sunday morning and two robberies.

A statement from police in Vestavia Hills alleges Blake Fitzgerald and Brittany Harper, both 31-year-old residents of Joplin, Missouri, are wanted on kidnapping and theft charges.

Police say Fitzgerald allegedly entered a Vestavia Hills home early Sunday morning through an opened garage door.

Once inside the home, he allegedly told the husband and wife living there he was having car trouble, after which he allegedly pulled a gun on the pair and demanded their car keys.

Subsequently, Fitzgerald allegedly forced the wife into the car, where he was joined by Harper. The suspects allegedly drove the woman to a nearby hospital and dropped her off, unharmed.

Police say Fitzgerald and Harper are wanted for at least two other robberies reported to police on Sunday.

Police urge anyone who spots the two suspects to call 911 and to avoid confronting the duo.
