Everybody has a life story, filled with struggles, challenges, hopes and dreams.

For all the victims of the Orlando massacre at Pulse nightclub, those life stories were cut short during the shooting rampage on June 12.

Believing that the victims’ stories should not be forgotten, the Human Rights Campaign enlisted 49 celebrities – one for each victim of the shooting – to pay tribute to the victims by sharing their individual stories on video.

In the 18-minute film directed by Emmy-winning producer Ryan Murphy, celebrities like Lady Gaga, Chris Pine, Jane Fonda, Caitlyn Jenner and Cuba Gooding Jr. each talk about one of the victims.

“The hate that stole these 49 individuals from all those who loved them has been allowed to flourish in our country for too long,” Murphy said in a statement. “No person is born hating another, and we have an obligation as Americans to stand up against prejudice and bigotry that would incite violence against someone simply for who they are.”
