Mother and Son Arrested for Selling Drugs in Upstate New York: Sheriff

Christine Altro, 53, and her son Christopher Altro, 27, were arrested last Wednesday for selling prescription painkillers and heroin to undercover officers, according to a press release from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team received information about a man selling heroin in the Village of New Paltz, New York.
They also had received information that a woman was selling diverted pharmaceuticals in Plattekill, New York.
Officers conducted several undercover buy operations at her home, where she sold them oxycodone and morphine, the sheriff’s office says.
They were both charged with two felony counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.
The mother and son were arrested at their separate homes.
Christine Altro is on a $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond bail, and Christopher Altro is on a $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond bail.
