Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s lawyer seemingly let the news slip in a letter to the judge handling his ongoing tax fraud case. According to TMZ, Sorrentino’s lawyer asked to delay his next court date – to film the reality show Marriage Boot Camp. The Staten Island native and his brother, Marc, both plead not guilty in New Jersey Federal Court last month after a fraud indictment claimed the brothers did not pay taxes on $8.9 million in income. In a letter obtained by TMZ, the lawyer said Sorrentino and his fiancée had apparently signed a contract to film the show from Oct. 5 to 19 in Los Angeles, which conflicted with his Oct. 6 arraignment. (The judge reportedly granted the request, delaying the date until the 23rd.) The couple have been coy about their relationship status on Twitter, but Sorrentino’s girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, did seem to confirm the show news on social media Thursday, when she re-Tweeted a fan who asked about her return to TV. Reps for Sorrentino and the show could not be immediately reached for comment. Want more stories like this? Sign up for our newsletter and other special offers: sign me up Thank you for signing up!
