Memphis High School Teacher Arrested for Pimping: Police
McCrimmon allegedly pimped out girls for $50 each
A high school teacher is behind bars after being arrested Saturday for allegedly pimping women, PEOPLE confirms.
Walter McCrimmon was allegedly acting as a teacher by day and a pimp by night, promoting prostitution, unlawful sale of alcohol, storage of liquor for sale and money laundering, according to a police press release obtained by PEOPLE.
The 44-year-old was a social studies teacher at Raleigh-Egypt High School in Memphis, Tennessee, according to the school s website. But authorities say McCrimmon was also the owner of Walt’s Place, an illegal strip club, which was closed by the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office following a four-month investigation on Sunday.

In July, the Memphis Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit began an investigation into McCrimmon and his alleged sex club.
During their investigation, undercover detectives allegedly made eight prostitution deals, with McCrimmon assisting in pricing some of the deals, the press release reports.
McCrimmon allegedly pimped out girls for $50 each, according to FOX13.
The Shelby County Schools suspended McCrimmon without pay following the arrest and is carrying out its own investigation, the local station reports. He has since resigned.
Police are continuing their investigation. McCrimmon has not entered a plea to the charges against him.
