Kesha claimed Sunday that she had turned down an offer to retract her rape allegation against producer Dr. Luke, in exchange for her “freedom.”

“So. I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped,” the 29-year-old singer (née Kesha Sebert) wrote along with an Instagram photo.

“THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors,” she continued. “I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.”

(Luke vehemently denies Kesha’s allegations and is countersuing for breach of contract and defamation. He has also never been formally charged with a crime relating to Kesha’s accusations.)

Kesha is currently suing producer Dr. Luke (né Lukasz Gottwald), alleging he drugged, sexually assaulted her and verbally abused her for a decade. Luke has long denied the accusations, claiming they are an extortion plot and smear campaign to get Kesha released from her multi-record deal with him.

Luke’s lawyer, Christine Sepera, has said, “Ms. Sebert, who in sworn videotaped testimony from 2011 stated that she had never been sexually abused or drugged by Dr. Luke, is neither a victim nor the appropriate person to be held up as an example for this important issue.”

In February, a New York Supreme Court judge denied Kesha’s request for a preliminary injunction that would allow her to record and release music outside of her contracts with Luke and Sony Music.

In response to that decision, multiple pop stars made public statements of support for Kesha, including Lady Gaga.

Following the ruling, Luke publicly responded to Kesha’s claims on Twitter, maintaining his innocence and stating that he never had sex with her.

“I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister. Kesha has denied under oath the horrible allegations now being made against me,” he wrote.

On Sunday, in response to Kesha’s latest Instagram post, a rep for Luke told PEOPLE that Kesha is “free to record without Dr. Luke.”

“Kesha’s Instagram posting is false. The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr. Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims,” the rep said in a statement. “That’s because all the evidence – including Kesha’s own videotaped sworn testimony – show her allegations are false.

“The only thing Kesha is not free to do is to continue to lie about Dr. Luke through publicity stunts and outrageous smears, ignoring the fact that by her own free will she went to work and entered into new contracts with Dr. Luke years after this ‘incident’ supposedly happened,” the rep continued. “Her goal all along has been solely personal enrichment by seeking to break contracts that brought her success and millions so she can enter into more lucrative ones.

We look forward to our day in court holding Kesha accountable for her lies.”

A rep for Kesha declined to comment.
