Al Pacino’s daughter, Julie Pacino, 21, was arrested for DWI on Saturday in N.Y.C., an NYPD spokesman confirms to PEOPLE.

The arrest occurred 1:35 a.m. after the actor‘s daughter drove her black Mercedes Benz through a DWI checkpoint on West Houston Street in Manhattan.

“She had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong smell of alcohol on her breath,” says officer James Duffy, quoting the police report. “She admitted to drinking three beers and smoking marijuana prior to entering the checkpoint.”

Al Pacino rushed back from Los Angeles, where he has been filming a Phil Spector biopic, following the arrest.

Julie was arraigned at 5:23 p.m. Saturday and released on her own recognizance.
