Actor Judge Reinhold was arrested at the Dallas Love Field airport in Dallas, Texas on Thursday afternoon on a disorderly conduct charge.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the 59-year-old actor refused to submit to a security screening by the Transportation Security Administration.
Reinhold was offered a private screening room, but still refused and eventually became belligerent, according to The Dallas Morning News.
Dallas police say they were called at about 1:15 p.m. and arrested Reinhold after he refused to abide by police or airport officials. The Fast Times at Ridgement High actor was charged with disorderly conduct, which is a Class C misdemeanor that comes with a small fine.
In records obtained by PEOPLE, the actor was booked at 4:20 p.m.
An attorney for Reinhold told The Dallas Morning News that Reinhold’s bag set off an alarm and he didn’t understand why he needed to be searched, since he’d passed through the scanner without incident.
Reinhold has appeared in several movies such as Beverly Hills Cops, Ruthless People, Gremlins and all three Santa Claus films with Tim Allen.
