Missing Mom's Online Date Charged with Murder After Her Body Was Found in the Woods
Jonathan Daniel Harris, 29, was arraigned Wednesday in the death of 28-year-old Nicole White
The body of a Washington state mother of two was found in the woods over the weekend – and now the man she was last seen with has been charged with her murder.
Jonathan Daniel Harris, 29, was arraigned Wednesday in the death of 28-year-old Nicole White, who was missing for more than two weeks before her body was discovered in the woods near Kapowsin.
The two, who met online, had gotten together at a bar for a drink on June 6. Prosecutors say that Harris drove White back to his home in Graham, where he beat her to death and then wrapped her up in a tarp.
Among the evidence: a bloodstained sweatshirt found inside Harris’ home. A DNA test confirmed that the blood matched White’s.
Authorities have not established a motive for the brutal killing. An autopsy is currently underway, but it may be some time before the cause of death is determined due to the advanced decomposition of the body.
White’s family was devastated by the discovery, though they appreciate having closure. “I’m very lucky that, at least for Father’s Day, I got a gift, they found my daughter Nicole,” her father Eddie Nieto said.
