The Full House actor was stopped by police in Beverly Hills on Friday night
Former Full House star John Stamos was booked for DUI in Beverly Hills on Friday.
The Beverly Hills Police Department confirms to PEOPLE that officers pulled over the 51-year-old at about 7:45 p.m. after receiving numerous calls about an individual driving erratically.
The police decided that Stamos needed medical attention due to a possible medical condition and he was taken to a local hospital. He was cited for driving under the influence and released to the care of the hospital.
In 2007, the actor made an appearance on an Australian TV talk show where he slurred his words, made lewd gestures and wandered around the studio in a daze. He later admitted that he was drunk.
Stamos, who is starring in the upcoming Fox sitcom Grandfathered, is producing a Full House spinoff, Fuller House, which will premiere on Netflix next year.
