Jennifer Lopez and her close friend, former King of Queens star Leah Remini, were stopped at a red light along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, Saturday night, when they were rear-ended by a drunk driver, PEOPLE confirms.

“Riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip,” the “Booty” singer wrote on Instagram.

The group, en route to a Demi Lovato concert, had Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, 6, and Remini’s daughter Sofia, 10, in the backseat of the car. Fortunately, everyone in the car was unharmed.

The driver apparently got back into his pickup truck before finishing an insurance information exchange with Lopez and Remini (who was driving) and fled the scene. Officers arrested the man shortly afterwards, later determining that he was indeed driving under the influence, according to the Malibu Police Department.

Lopez, 45, says she exchanged words with the driver before he fled the scene, captioning her Instagram post, “#cursedthatfoolout,” “#theBronxcameout.”
