The husband of late British reality TV star Jade Goody – who died three weeks ago – was sent behind bars on Tuesday and will remain jailed for 12 weeks for attacking a taxi driver.

Jack Tweed’s jail stay had previously been postponed so he could tend to Goody as she was dying of cervical cancer and then so he could attend her March 22 funeral, reports the Daily Telegraph. The two wed in February.

Tweed, 21, was found guilty last month of assaulting driver Stephen Wilkins in May 2008. Court testimony at his trial included descriptions of how Tweed grabbed Wilkins in a headlock and threatened to stab him after being asked to pay the fare in advance.

This is Tweed’s second conviction in six months. In September he sentenced to 18 months for hitting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club.
